Executive promotions leave the two largest cruise lines in the world without a CEO

MIAMI, Florida - There have been a spate of executive promotions in the cruise industry recently that have left the two largest and most profitable cruise lines without a CEO. Gerry Cahill, president and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines, is to retire at the end of November and no one has been named as his replacement, according to a statement released Friday by the line.
