Training basket: Tara Meyer

The Alberta-raised Meyer began dancing -- in all disciplines -- when she was nine. She became a professional dancer at age 16 and trained at Ecole de Danse Classique de Monte-Carlo, L'cole suprieure de ballet du Qubec, Alberta Ballet, and The Edge Performing Arts Center in L.A. After being selected Canadian Female Dancer of the Year by Kelly Kono, a dancer for Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, she was offered a position with Princess Cruises where she was a featured dancer for five years.
