Elliott Bay is about to be filled with giant cruise ships: Seattle predicts near-peak 2015 season

Bigger cruise ships are driving growth in Seattle's cruise business this year, as three new ships carrying 3,000 people each enter the scene. While larger ships are drawing cargo away from Puget Sound toward Southern California, that's not case with Seattle's cruise industry, said Michael McLaughlin , director of cruise and maritime operations for the Port of Seattle.
