University of Miami done to four finalists for new president

The hunt for a new University of Miami president has been narrowed to four candidates - but search leaders aren't yet ready to name the finalists. Richard Fain, head of the presidential search committee and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, told the Miami Herald Editorial Board on Thursday that a new president should be in place by the time Donna Shalala leaves at the end of May. More than 250 applicants have put in for the position since Shalala announced in September that she was stepping down.
