Grosseto, December 2 - Francesco Schettino testified Tuesday that he steered his Costa Concordia cruise ship close to Giglio Island - a maneuver that ended in 32 deaths - for business reasons on behalf of the ship owners. Schettino, who has been vilified for taking his 4,200 cruise-ship passengers into danger by getting too close the island rocks and sinking the ship in January 2012, said the move was designed to give passengers a better view of the island.
