Laser light criminals face hefty fines and jail

DIRECTOR General of the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority Ramesh Lutchmedial is warning that anyone found guilty of directing laser lights at aircraft during approach and take off at Piarco International Airport is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $10,000 and imprisonment for one year. It was reported that on Carnival Monday, a laser prank threatened the safe landings of two aircraft at the airport.
