Princess Cruises announces a new ship is being added to its fleet

Princess Cruises is keeping up with the Joneses so to speak. With all of the other major cruise lines admitting new ships into their respective fleets, Princess, a subsidiary of Carnival Corp & plc, announced that it has reached an agreement with Fincantieri to build a new ship, which will enter service in 2017.
